Elves and Half-Elves

Elves are found across Euron and throughout the world, having long been integrated into Imperial society. Because of the abundance of both humans and elves in the Imperium, half-elves are a common and accepted part of everyday life.

Though those of elven blood cannot hope to soar high in Imperial society (even noble-born half-elf bastards are routinely shunned by the human halves of their families), many of elven blood still lead rich and fulfilling lives as artisans, priests, merchants, and soldiers with all the entitlements that go along with these positions.

Many humans, rightly or wrongly, consider elves and half-elves to be the “best adjusted” to living as non-humans in Imperial lands, though the recent war with the Caelish Elves has begun to strain this assumption.

Campaign Trait (Elf only)
Caelish Elf
Your accent and physical appearance (olive skin, blonde hair, subtle facial tattoos, blue or green eyes) mark you as one of the Caelish Elves, an elf who, at the very least, was born and raised through childhood in the Shrouded Isles.
Though your sophisticated upbringing has given you certain skills and talents common in the Shrouded Isles, Imperial forces abroad will be quite slow to trust you.

You gain a +2 trait bonus in the Handle Animal and Knowledge (Nature) skills, and one of these traits (your choice) is always a class skill for you. However, you must apply a -2 trait modifier whenever you use Bluff or Diplomacy on a character with an Imperial background or a character whose sympathies lie with the Imperium.
